Best Makeup Brush Set - Make Up Brush Kit
If you wear make up then you should consider investing in a good set of make up brushes. Good makeup brushes will help your make up go on easier and your makeup also look better than applying make up with the brushes that normally comes with the make up you’re buying.
Make Up Brush - Testing Make Up Brush Quality
Good make up brush can be expensive. To find a good make up brush that you’re comfortable with you should try it before you buy it. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when testing make up brushes.
-
A good grip will give you better control when applying your make up. Pay attention to the handle of the brush – it should sit well in your hand so you can get a good grip.
-
To test the quality of the brush bristles, run the brush along the back of your hand if the bristles come off then the quality is bad.
-
Gently pull on the bristles if a few strands come out then the quality is also bad. When the brushes are new there might be some extra bristles that are loose so give it a couple of gentle pulls to test its quality.
-
Make up brushes with soft bristles is best for creating a soft look. But if the bristles are too soft, their ability to pick up and deposit color is also limited. Large soft brush is recommended for a powder brush.
-
Make up brushes with bristles that are too hard will not feel comfortable when you brush your makeup onto your facial skin. Hard bristles can also irritate your skin.
Make Up Brush Set – Make Up Kit
Before making the investment on a good make up brush set you should decide whether you would need the entire make up tool kit that are available at some cosmetic counter. Again, like I said before, good make up brushes can be costly so I don’t buy the entire make up brush set. Instead, I found that along with some basic make up tool about four other good make up brushes are all that I really need.
Make Up Tool Box Essentials
Blush Brush
A medium sized brush with a rounded tip. Blush brush that comes with your blush compact often are too small and stiff to create a natural look. You can also use blush brush for highlighting.
Eye Shadow Brush
A small brush with bristles angled on the one side. Eye shadow brush is great of shading your lids. And if you use powder eye shadow to line your eyes, a good eye shadow brush is a must have.
Lip Brush
Look for lip brush with a protective top. Lip brush helps your to create the lip line you wanted and is very useful for an even application.
Powder Brush
If you use bronzing powder or loose face powder as the finishing touch then consider buying a large soft powder brush. But if you use pressed powder or don’t apply face powder then you wouldn’t need a powder brush in your make up tool box.
Circular Sponge
If you use compact foundation or pressed powder your sponge will pick up oil from your face. Over time the sponge will look caked or shinny so you will need to wash or replace them. For me, my compact foundation always outlasts my circular sponge so I find that extra supply of circular sponge is very useful.
Triangular Make Up Sponge
Very useful for blending foundation and concealer.
Eye Lash Curler
Eye lash curler helps to curl the lashes and opens up your eyes to make it look bigger.
Pencil Sharpener
Make Up Tool Tip
