If you have dry skin you need a more soft cleanser usually a milk or cream cleanser. Avoid using tap water to cleanse your skin because tap water deposits will cause your skin to be more drying.

When your skin doesn’t retain enough water it will feel dry and tight. Dry skin is an invitation to wrinkles. Pay attention to your skin and mosturize when needed.

For very dry skin, there is Nivea Cream - very greasy. Each of this dry skin moisturizers will cost you about $10.

For about $50, you can buy up scale dry skin moisturizers. Upscale skin care products are tailored to individuals in different age group. Shiseido Benefiance Daytime Protective Cream is a great moisturizer for dry skin but it's not made for every age group.

And if money is no object, there is Creme De La Mere. Creme De La Mer also comes in a light lotion, and cost about $100 for 1oz.

Causes of Dry Skin

Most dry skin are cause by environmental factors that sometimes can be partially controlled. These includes exposures to wind, cold weather with low humidity levels, and long term use of air-conditioning. Changes that occur with normal aging, washing your skin with strong soap, and medical conditions also affect the moisture content of your skin.

Dry Skin Care Tip

Be generous with eye cream in the areas surrounding the eyes where fine lines and wrinkles are born.
