Mascara Eye Make Up Tip - Best Mascara

Best Mascara Eye Make up - Eye Make Up Idea

The general purpose of mascara is to emphasize and define your lashes. Whether you want to create a smooth look, curly look, thicken or lengthen your lashes there are mascaras that claims to do just about anything for your lashes so the choices are many.

Mascaras contain mostly wax thickeners, film-formers, water, and preservatives. Mascara need to be replaced a few months after opening because it can be easily contaminated by bacteria – something you don’t want in your eyes.

As your mascara gets older it becomes more clumpy and eventually it dries out. If you’re really stretching the life time of your mascara, you need to discard it four months (at most) after opening.

Waterproof Mascara

There are two basic types of mascara: waterproof and regular. Waterproof mascara is more difficult to remove. If you’re a swimmer or cry very often then you might want to consider waterproof mascara otherwise stick with the regular type.

Best Mascara – Clear, Brown, & Black Mascara

If you have a hard time finding a mascara shade that’s right for you then try clear mascara. Clear mascara helps to separate your lashes so it’s a good choice if you find that mascara in any shade is too dark for your lashes.

Brown Mascara is great to create a natural look and is a great shade if you’re blond.

Black Mascara is basic and it works well on almost anyone.

How to Apply Mascara – Eye Make Up Tip

When applying mascara, thin, short mascara applicator wands are best. Thinner brush make it much easier for you to get into the corner lashes. And, shorter wands give you more control.

  1. Mascara contains a lot of wax, and the wax can get clumpy as your mascara gets older. To avoid smudging and clumping, before applying mascara to your lashes, lightly wipe your mascara wand with a tissue.

  2. In parallel upward strokes apply your mascara from below your upper lashes. Starting in the middle of your eyes at the base of your lashes and moving to the edges.

  3. To give the outer corner lashes a few coats, blink onto the brush.

  4. When applying an extra coat, make sure to do it before the first coat dries otherwise you might get clumps.

  5. Your lower lashes normally don’t need mascara. But if you must apply mascara to your bottom lashes use very little to avoid smearing. Sometimes mascara smudges because it’s attracted to your concealer or eye cream, to  avoid mascara smearing onto your bottom eye area, apply a bit of power under your eyes before applying mascara. Or, try putting a tissue under the bottom lashes before applying.

Mascara Eye Make Up Tip

If you have sensitive eyes, try mascara that are formulated for sensitive eyes. Sensitive eyes formulation tends to contain less wax than regular mascara. It also bind more gently to your lashes and is easier to remove.
