Skin Care: Oily Skin Care

Oily Skin Remedy & Oily Skin Care Product

Oily Skin has a shinny appearance and is the most problematic skin type. Oily skin has enlarged pores and prone to blackheads and blemishes.

Some of oily skin problems may include acne, scars following acne, open pores, white heads, black heads and blemishes. Your skincare product must help to control excess oil. For oily skin type you need non-oily and water based skin care product.

Facial Cleanser for Oily Skin

You will need cleanser that break down the excess oil but not too drying for your skin. A little drying is acceptable but not too drying that will leave your skin feeling unnaturally tight.  Shiseido Pureness Cleansing Gel and Lancome Clarifiance Oil-Free Gel Cleanser are great cleanser for oily skin.

Because you cleanse your face twice a day,  your facial cleanser should remove surface oil and dirt without damaging your skin. When you find that your facial cleanser leave your skin feeling too dry, you don't need to run out and buy a new cleanser. I just adjust the amount of cleanser i use - diluting it a bit.

You must keep oily skin clean but don’t over wash, too much washing can lead to dry skin. (limit your washing to two to three times a day).

Moisturizer for Oily Skin

Moisturizing gels are most oil free. They don’t have the moisturizing power as moisturizing cream, and are light so they don’t clog pores. Moisturizer for oily skin can range from barely there texture to so light that your skin soak it right up. Choose moisturizers that will dry up the oil and not your skin.

Oily Skin Care Tip

When applying moisturizer be sure to don’t over massage. Facial massage can stimulate the production of sebum – the last thing oily skin needs.
