Smokey Eye Effect - Smoky Eye Look
If you’re not very good with make up and are doing the smoky eye look I suggest to you to use three shades of eye shadows. Some people who are very good with make up can achieve this look with a sheer nude eye shadow, a deep shadow, eye liner, and mascara.
How to Get the Smoky Eye Look
Eye Shadow Shades for Smokey Eye Look – One should be a sheer nude eye shadow color that is close to the color of your skin. A dark shade to give your eyes depth. And a shade that is in between the dark and the light shade.
-
Apply a sheer nude eye shadow color to your entire upper lids. Go from lid to brow.
-
Apply the middle tone to your upper lids and into the crease. Blend over the eye socket
-
To add depth, blend the dark eye shadow color over the top of the middle shade. Blend it onto your upper lids and into the crease. The look you’re going for is smudged and smokey so remember to blend and layer the color on.
-
Line your bottom eyelid with a pencil and smudge gently with your fingertip or a Q-tip. If you have smaller eyes, draw a line out from the center of the lower lid. If your eyes are quite large, you can draw a line from closer to the inner corner.
-
Use a liner brush apply a light coat of darker shadow over the liner. Applying a light coat of the darker shade over the liner makes the line look smudgy and it also remove the hard edge of the pencil. This helps to create a shadowy definition.
- Apply black mascara
Smokey Eye Make Up Tip
Smokey eye look set a dramatic tone and draws attention to your eyes. If you’re doing a smokey eye look, remember to keep your lips nude. When applying strong make up, you want to either put the focus on your eyes (smokey eye) or your lips (red lips) but never both.
